After 9 years of work with the Greater Wellington Regional Council we can confirm that they’ve approved a 30 year lease, in principle, for our new building. This is a huge step forward for the project that will now allow us to apply for consents and target the major funders.
A huge thanks goes to everyone that has worked hard to get this across the line, especially for those that have been in the full 9 years.
To mark this huge milestone we’re having a celebration at the surf club on 3 July. All members and supporters are invited to attend. RSVP is essential by 24 June to Karen.Simpson@canoeracing.org.nz
